One of New Zealand’s most spectacular natural attractions, the Waitomo Glowworm Caves, played host to two unique music and dining experiences in February and March.
The highlight of these special events was intimate performance by celebrated New Zealand tenor Geoff Sewell, the co-founder of the world’s first opera band, Amici Forever, inside the majestic glowworm cave known as the Cathedral, famous for its acoustics.
These events included accommodation at Novotel Hamilton Tainui Hotel, coach travel to and from Waitomo, canapes, drinks and dinner in the architecturally-awarded Visitor Centre, as well as a tour through the caves and the musical performance itself.
Waitomo Glowworm Caves Underground Sounds was presented by Fortis Events and ESP Ventures, in partnership with Discover Waitomo and THL.
The team hopes to showcase more artists in future performances and share this unique experience with more Kiwis.
